Boys Recap 2/24

The Eagle Boys' hosted Plano West on a balmy Tuesday night at Ford Field.

In the JV game, both the Eagles and Wolves had chances but the game ended nil-nil.
JV keeper Francesco made a nice punch-out save late in the game to help preserve the draw.

In the Varsity game, the Eagles dominated the 1st half but could not find the back of the net on their many chances. The 1st 20 of the second half was even until MF Trevor Harmon scored in the 60th minute. In the 71st minute, Kyle Herbison played a perfect through ball to Andrew Davidson, which was taken up the right side, crossed into the box, and finished by Stephen Walters. PW connected on a free kick 5 minutes later to cut the Allen lead to 2-1.
The Wolves had one last opportunity to get the equalizer on a breakaway, but were denied the chance on a nice play by Allen's right back, who cleared the ball with 2 seconds left.
Allen gets a crucial district win 2-1, over Plano West.
