The Allen Boys made their 1st trip to district new-comer McKinnney Boyd on Tuesday.
The JV Boys drew with the Broncos JV 1-1.
The Varsity game went 0-0 at the half....the Eagles were denied on a nice save by the Broncos
keeper 5 minutes into the 2nd half.....in the 60th minute, the Eagles scored when LB Jed Davis sent a perfect through ball to F Andrew Davidson, who cut the keeper up the middle to take a 1-0 lead. The Eagles kept Boyd at bay for the rest of the game for the 1-0 victory.
The back line of Greenleaf, Davis, Hansen, Schuchart, and D-Mid McLaughlin held off a 3 striker offensive-minded attack by the Broncos in the last 18 minutes and Keeper John Kaschack pitched the shutout, making 2 fantastic saves in the last 5 minutes.
The Eagles leap-frogged Boyd to move into 3rd place in tough 8-5A (behind unbeaten Plano and Jesuit) and will host the Wylie Pirates Friday at Ford Field.
